voestalpine AG is a globally leading steel and technology group based in Linz, Austria.
Founded in 1938 as the Reichswerke Hermann Göring Linz, reorganised after WWII as VÖEST,
merged with Alpine Montan in 1973 to form VOEST-ALPINE, privatised from 1995 and renamed
voestalpine AG in 2001. It is organised into four divisions — Steel, High Performance Metals,
Metal Engineering and Metal Forming — and supplies the automotive, railway, energy,
aerospace, storage and construction industries. The group employs about 51,200 people
across ~500 companies in 50+ countries and reported €16.7 billion in revenue and €0.5 billion
in profit after tax for business year 2023/24. CEO: Herbert Eibensteiner. Listed on the
Vienna Stock Exchange (ATX), ticker VOE, ISIN AT0000937503.
